How Neuu handles personal data
Neuu is software for rental brokers, made by Emberstone Technologies. This page says what data it holds, why, who sees it and how to ask for a copy or for deletion.
Who we are
Neuu is a product of Emberstone Technologies (“we”). You can reach us at hello@emberstone.in. Registered address: to be added before launch.
A broker or agency that uses Neuu decides which client, owner and flat details to enter. For those details the agency is the one who decides how they are used, and we run the software for it.
Who this covers
- Brokers and their teams who sign in to the Neuu app.
- Clients and tenants who open a link from a broker, book a visit or sign a memo.
- Flat owners whom a broker adds, who may get messages and links.
- Registration partners who open a job link.
What we hold
| Who | What | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Brokers and teams | Name, mobile number, agency name and phone, role, branch, signed in devices (device name and last used), sign in times | The broker, when signing up or when an owner invites them |
| Clients and tenants | Name, mobile number, chosen visit time, language, a record of the consent they gave (wording version and time) | The client, on the booking form; or the broker, when adding an enquiry or a deal |
| Flat owners | Name and mobile number, message choices, the day chosen for rent reminders | The broker; the owner, on their own link |
| Flats | Photos, price, deposit, facts the broker entered, the broker's brokerage terms | The broker |
| Deals | Token and brokerage amounts as the broker records them, memo and its signatures (time, IP address, device and a fingerprint of the document), agreement drafts, registration documents | The broker and the people who sign |
| Introduction records | Who was introduced to which flat by which broker, and when | Created when a visit is booked |
| Actions in the app | A log of who did what and when | Created by the app |
We do not collect payment card or bank details. Neuu does not hold or move anyone's money.
Why we use it
- To run the product: show a flat, book a visit, record an introduction, run a deal, send reminders.
- To send messages the broker or the person asked for, such as a visit confirmation, a memo link or a rent reminder.
- To keep the service safe: stop misuse, keep a record of actions, fix faults.
- To answer a request from a person about their own data.
We do not sell personal data.
Who sees it
- The agency. A broker's team sees what its own clients, owners and flats contain, limited by each person's role. The accounts role does not see client phone numbers.
- The other side of a deal. A memo or draft shows the parties to each other, with phone numbers partly hidden.
- Service providers who host the service and deliver messages, only to do that work.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
One agency cannot see another agency's data.
How long we keep it
- While the agency uses Neuu.
- If an agency asks to delete itself, its data stays read only for 90 days and is then permanently deleted. The agency can cancel the request before then.
- If a client asks us to delete their data, we remove their name and number. We keep a record that an introduction happened, without their details, so the broker's records stay whole.
Your choices
- Clients: every page has a Your data and privacy link. After confirming with a code you can ask for a copy of your data or ask us to delete it.
- Owners: every message has a link to say wrong number or stop.
- Everyone: write to hello@emberstone.in to ask a question or to correct something.
How we protect it
Each agency's data is kept apart from every other agency's. Access depends on the person's role. Actions are logged. Links that carry personal details expire. No system is perfect, and we will tell the people affected if something goes wrong, as the law requires.
Children
Neuu is for brokers and the adults they work with. It is not meant for children.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we will say so here and in the app. The date of the last change will be shown above once this page is final.
